Had an inspiring day to finish my #writingretreat today collecting ideas for something #new at sunny #margate and @turnercontemporary #animalsandus #exhibition My mind's swirling with thoughts about the gap between humans and other animals... and the beasts that live in all of us #writersofinstagram #playwright #seasidefunAn inspiring day yesterday at @royalacademyarts #summerexhibition #summerexhibition2018 Perfect to get thoughts and ideas going for my #writingretreat this week! #writingplays #writersofinstagram #writingisarttoo #staycationStarted my #holidayreading early 😍 Jon McGregor was the first male writer who's female protagonist made me feel 'OMG he's got into my head and gets how it feels to be a woman!' -That was in his first book 'nobody speaks of remarkable things', and since then I've been a huge fan!! This book is no different -it's a companion piece to 'reservoir 13' and is so far absolutely excellent. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 He makes me want to be a better #playwright too! Though any playwriting right now would be a result #lostmymuse @4thestatebooksI wanted a hand blender to have a go at making soups. I had never made a soup before but I really like soup and thought maybe I could give it a go. Then my Mum said why not get a #soupmaker ? So my birthday comes around and I'm now the proud owner of a saute and soupmaker! I made the first soup today: sweet potato and leek and OMG it was delicious!!!! I didn't have faith and was convinced it was going to be watery or not creamy or anything. All I needed was garlic, onion, leek, sweet pots stock and it was amazing! And it only took 21mins to cook.
